Documentation

AI literacy in companies.

Article 4 of the EU AI Act concerns AI competence in companies. A Corporathon consists of measures that can support the documentation of that competence. It does not replace legal review and does not automatically lead to compliance.

01 – Basics

Risk-based

The EU AI Act assigns every AI system to a risk category: minimal, limited, high or prohibited. Obligations scale with the risk.

Article 4: AI Literacy

Article 4 of the EU AI Act concerns the AI competence of employees who use AI. The rule was amended in 2026, so we word this carefully and refer to the regulation and to your legal counsel for the current wording.

Governance

Transparency, human oversight and documentation aren't optional extras. We anchor them directly in the use case, not in a folder.

Participation record and documentation

Every participant receives a participation record. No official certificate is issued, and a record does not automatically mean compliance. Together with the documented prototype it can support the company's documentation of the measure.

02 – Timeline

  • Feb 2025Prohibited practices and Article 4 (AI literacy) become applicable.
  • Aug 2025Obligations for general-purpose AI models come into force.
  • 2026The rule on Article 4 was amended. We word this carefully and do not state details we cannot verify.

03 – Our Contribution

In the Corporathon, we classify every use case within the regulation's risk logic: what's harmless, what needs transparency, what shouldn't be built at all. Teams learn the rules on their own project instead of on slides.

This is complemented by basics on data classification, prompt hygiene, handling hallucinations and human oversight. The result is a documented prototype plus a participation record for every person.

Note: This page summarizes the state of affairs in general terms and does not replace legal advice.
