AI Glossary
Guardrails
Technical and organizational guardrails that prevent an AI system from producing unwanted outputs or leaking data.
In context
What this means in your company
"Guardrails" comes up in almost every Corporathon – usually the moment an idea is supposed to become a working prototype. What matters is not the definition but the question: which concrete step in your process does this term change?
In our hackathons we never explain terms theoretically, but always on your own use case: you build with it, you test with it, and then you decide whether it stays.
Short definition
Technical and organizational guardrails that prevent an AI system from producing unwanted outputs or leaking data.
